There are delays near Quedgeley
All M5 traffic is being held in Gloucestershire due to a car fire this morning (Christmas Eve). According to traffic monitoring site Inrix, there is queuing traffic on the southbound carriageway near Quedgeley.
The vehicle caught fire shortly after junction 12. It was first reported at 9.28am.
Inrix says: "All traffic being temporarily held and queueing traffic due to car fire on M5 Southbound after J12 B4008 ( Quedgeley / Hardwicke ). Something is on fire on the hard shoulder."

Inrix says: "All lanes open and traffic returned to normal, earlier car fire and earlier car fire on M5 Southbound after J12 B4008 (Quedgeley / Hardwicke).
"Lane one (of three) remains closed after a 15 minute hold of all traffic."
