BBC presenter Keeley Donovan has shared the heart-breaking reason as to why she took time away from her studio role.
The weather presenter for the North was off work for a while after suffering morning sickness with her second child.
However she has now announced doctors told her at her 12-week scan she had sadly miscarried.
In an Instagram post Keeley, 39, said: I returned to work last week but you might not have seen me around for a while, the truth is I’ve been off with horrid morning sickness.
"Unfortunately the day before our 12 week scan I started to show signs of a miscarriage."
Describing it as a "sad and worrying time", Keeley said there was no longer a heartbeat.
She added: "At the scan there was no heartbeat. A few days later I ended up back in hospital because of heavy blood loss.
"It’s been a sad and worrying time."
She and radio presenter husband Johnny I’Anson had their first child in July 2020.
