UK Sexiest accent revealed as Manchester takes top spot – Messenger Newspapers

The UK’s sexiest accent has been revealed and it might just surprise you which county has been voted the best.
The Mancunian accent has taken the top spot as the dialect that gets the nation’s attention the most.
High-profile figures such as Liam Gallagher and Marcus Rashford who both boast the Manchester accent are among those lucky enough to claim they have the sexiest one in the UK.
The results come as Best Casinos share research they gathered from their survey of over 2,500 participants, with more than 50% thinking Manchester is the hottest.
Messenger Newspapers:
With Manchester winning the crown, the Northern Irish accent took the runner-up spot seeing actors Liam Neeson and James Nesbitt having the second-best dialect.
The third place might surprise some, with the unique Liverpool accent claiming the spot seeing the voice of Stephen Graham being just one scouser named.
The London accent (Queen’s English) lost out to the top three with the fourth spot, whilst the nation of Wales came in fifth spot as one of the sexiest accents in the UK.
Last year the Scottish accent was voted the UK’s sexiest, but it was not featured in the 2022 version.
Discussing the survey, a spokesperson from Best Casino said: “When it comes to dating, 95% of respondents said it’s important that they like a potential partner’s voice.
“Women find it more important than men do, but just barely: 51% of people who identify as women say it’s extremely important, as opposed to 49% of people who identify as men.”
