LA CROSSE (WKBT) – Mt. La Crosse will open for the 2022-2023 ski season on Dec. 3 under new ownership.
Local investment group Waloon Industries, which is owned by the Mathy family, acquired Mt. La Crosse on Nov. 30.
But according to Mt. La Crosse’s President and General Manager Darcie Breidel, leadership and management will not change.
“We’re super excited for Mount La Crosse and what it means to the community,” said Breidel. “By having a local family company purchase Mt. La Crosse is that this gem is going to be in our community for a long time to come.
Built in 1959, Mt. La Crosse is home to 19 trails for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities, including the famous Mileway, Wisconsin’s longest ski trail.
Tickets and schedules are available online.
